Expanded Content Labels
Expanded Content Labels (a.k.a. Booklet Labels, Onserts, Copy Expansion Labeling) are designed to increase the amount of “real estate” available to provide information about your brand, company or product.
By using an ECL, you can essentially triple your print space, which means that you can add all the necessary regulatory copy without diminishing your ability to promote your brand or highlight the benefits of your products. In addition, ECL’s actually allow the consumer to interact with your product, making them the perfect medium for promotions, recipes, games, sweepstakes, contests and cooperative advertising.
At Western Shield, we pioneered a proprietary method to print ECL’s in a single-pass, which means perfect color matching across panels, improved efficiency (lower cost to you), and the ability to print up to 7-colors on one of the panels (including 4-color process printing). We also offer multiple material options, a notched base for easy opening, and improved resealability.
Need even more space? You might consider a booklet label. A booklet label has more hidden panels than a traditional ECL. In fact, some types of booklet labels can be up to 16 total pages. They are a great option to consider when you have a lot of information that must be conveyed in a very limited amount of space.
